1. Who We Are

Socium AI ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered productivity and scheduling application. Our service is accessible at sociumai.app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Email address and password (via Supabase Auth) when you create an account.
  • Task and schedule data: Tasks, deadlines, time blocks, and scheduling preferences you enter into the app.
  • Google Calendar data: If you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar events to provide scheduling features. We store event metadata (titles, times, calendar IDs) in our database to enable real-time sync. We do not read, store, or share the content of your calendar events beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
  • Usage data: Session timestamps, feature usage patterns, and productivity signals used to improve AI scheduling recommendations.
  • Payment information: Billing is processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve AI-powered scheduling and task management features.
  • To sync your calendar events bidirectionally with Google Calendar.
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • To send transactional emails (account, billing) when necessary.
  • To improve our AI models and scheduling algorithms using aggregated, anonymized patterns.

4. Google API Data

Socium AI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We only request access to the Google Calendar scope necessary to read and write your calendar events.
  • We use your Google Calendar data solely to display events in Socium AI and to sync changes you make in the app back to Google Calendar.
  • We do not share your Google Calendar data with third parties.
  • We do not use your Google Calendar data for advertising or to train AI models beyond improving your personal scheduling experience.
  • You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from the Integrations page, which will stop all access and remove stored tokens.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. OAuth tokens for Google Calendar are stored encrypted and used only to make API calls on your behalf. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Google — calendar integration (optional)
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
  • Google Gemini AI — AI-powered scheduling recommendations

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from account settings, which will permanently delete all your data within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

9. Children's Privacy

Socium AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app.
